VOLUNTEERISM

The time and talent of our team members is one of the greatest assets that Universal Orlando® can offer our community. By assisting agencies with their immediate and long term needs, Universal Orlando volunteers continue to make a significant impact in the Central Florida community.

Each year, thousands of Universal Orlando team members participate in volunteer projects ranging from sorting and stocking items at a local food bank to designing and building a 7-hole miniature golf course to helping local non-profits with their capacity building efforts.

In addition, Universal Orlando executives serve on more than 40 local non-profit boards. Through their involvement, we are able to gauge local organizations’ needs and work strategically to provide services that address social issues impacting our community.

In early 2003, Universal Parks & Resorts was awarded the National Points of Light Foundation’s Award for Excellence in Corporate Community Service. This award recognizes companies that have made an outstanding institutional commitment to community service.

“Universal Parks & Resorts’ employee volunteer efforts, the program policies and company vision that support those volunteer activities are true examples of workplace volunteering at its best.”
